Stargate: Continuum follows the SG-1 team as they attend the execution of Ba'al, the last of the Goa'uld System Lords. When Teal'c and Vala vanish without explanation, Carter, Daniel and Mitchell return to Earth to find history itself has been rewritten: the Stargate program never existed, and an invasion fleet led by Ba'al, his queen Qetesh and a Goa'uld-controlled Teal'c is approaching the planet. To prevent humanity's enslavement, the surviving members must locate the Stargate and set the timeline right.
The film is directed by Martin Wood, working from a screenplay by Brad Wright, with Wright, Robert C. Cooper and John G. Lenic producing. It continues the Stargate SG-1 story with Ben Browder, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Michael Shanks, Claudia Black and Beau Bridges reprising their television roles. Wood had previously directed The Impossible Elephant; this was his second feature, made for a budget of about seven million dollars.
Released in 2008 as a direct-to-video continuation of the series, the film runs 98 minutes. It holds a 7.4 rating on IMDb across roughly 26,000 votes and a 7.1 on TMDB from a smaller base of about 600 users, indicating a generally favourable response that is consistent between the two.
