Zion: A Short Film

This Nigerian drama follows a teenage girl living in mainland Lagos who faces personal hardships. Throughout her struggles, she discovers a sense of hope through her connection to God. The story is based on a collection of poems titled Zion by June Olu.

Tolu Joseph wrote and directed the film, which marks the first project in a list of two directed works, followed by An Analysis of Roads in 2026. June Olu served as the producer, and Kayla Fanen-Acho stars as the lead character. The short film was produced by Ginger Studios and The Ginger Collective and was released on June 27, 2024, with a total runtime of four minutes.
