Josephine

Upcoming crime drama thriller Josephine follows an eight-year-old girl who accidentally witnesses a violent crime in Golden Gate Park. The emotional trauma causes her to exhibit aggressive behavior as a means of self-protection. As the child struggles to feel safe again, her parents face internal conflicts while attempting to find justice.

Written and directed by Beth de Araújo, this project follows her 2022 film Soft & Quiet. The production was handled by several companies, including Free Association, Spark Features, Kinematics, and Yintai Entertainment. The film features Mason Reeves in the title role, with Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan playing the parents. The supporting cast includes Philip Ettinger, Syra McCarthy, and Eleanore Pienta, as part of a credited cast of 47 people. A crew of 188 members worked on the production, which has a total runtime of 119 minutes.
