What's left behind the scenes
- The filmmakers aimed to make the romantic moments as similar as possible to the romantic comedies of Nora Ephron, and the horror scenes to the horror films of Wes Craven.
- The surnames of detectives Hobbs and Shaw (like the surnames of the characters in the "Fast & Furious" franchise) were chosen long before Jordana Brewster (who played Mia Toretto in the "Fast & Furious" films) was cast as Shaw.
