Love Lessons is an upcoming French comedy about Émile, a literature professor in Dieppe. On the day he retires, he encourages his students to treat their own lives like poetry through a final lecture on love and literature. However, upon returning home, Émile finds that his wife has left him. Forced to apply his own academic teachings to his personal crisis, he undergoes a process of self-reinvention triggered by a series of unexpected encounters.
The film is written and directed by Martin Provost, following his previous works The Midwife, How to Be a Good Wife, and Bonnard, Pierre and Marthe. The cast features Fabrice Luchini in the lead role of Émile, alongside Emmanuelle Devos, Chiara Mastroianni, Carole Bouquet, Hélène Alexandridis, and Simon Jaspart. Produced by Les Films du Kiosque, the movie has a runtime of 114 minutes and is scheduled for release on November 25, 2026.
