Set on Jeju Island in 1948, this drama focuses on the violent aftermath of an uprising sparked by residents fearing the division of Korea. Amidst a government crackdown and an anti-communist campaign that resulted in the deaths of thousands of civilians, a mother named A-jin struggles to protect and find her young daughter. The story follows their attempts to survive a landscape filled with chaos and state violence.
