Edge of Night

Two brothers, Kenan and Sinan Yeşilyaprak, are both officers in the Turkish army who have struggled with a lifelong conflict. Born to a mother from the Kurdish minority and a father who was a general later targeted by the state, the siblings hold opposing convictions. During the political turmoil of a 2016 coup attempt, Sinan is tasked with delivering Kenan to a military court. Following the tragic death of their father, the two travel together through a country in chaos, forcing them to choose between their professional duties to the state and their own consciences.

Written and directed by Türker Süer, this drama is a joint production between Germany and Turkey involving WDR, ARTE, and Liman Film. The film stars Ahmet Rıfat Şungar as Sinan and Berk Hakman as Kenan, with a credited cast of 28 performers. Released on March 14, 2025, the movie has a runtime of 85 minutes.
