Futurama: Bender's Game

Futurama: Bender's Game follows the crew of Planet Express after rising fuel costs push them into conflict with Mom, the intergalactic monopolist who controls the supply of dark matter that powers starships. Leela takes the ship into a demolition derby, wins, and returns with heavy damage, which brings the fuel problem to a head. The Professor decides the crew must break Mom's hold on the fuel supply, and their search for the source of dark matter takes them deep underground into a medieval fantasy realm of dragons, magic and knights who bear a strong resemblance to Bender. The film is the third of the four Futurama direct-to-video features, released in 2008 between Bender's Big Score and the later installments.

Dwayne Carey-Hill directed, having previously made Futurama: Bender's Big Score, and the screenplay is credited to Eric Horsted, Michael Rowe and Eric Kaplan. The voice cast includes Billy West as Fry, Professor Farnsworth and the fantasy counterpart Frydo, Katey Sagal as Leela, John DiMaggio as Bender, Tress MacNeille as Mom, Maurice LaMarche as Walt and Phil LaMarr as Hermes Conrad. The film runs 88 minutes and blends action, adventure, animation, comedy, fantasy and science fiction.

On IMDb it holds a rating of 7.2 from around 22,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.9 from roughly 617 votes, a mild gap that suggests the more devoted viewers who rated it on the former site responded somewhat more positively than the broader international audience on the latter.
