Hell Ride is an action thriller about two rival motorcycle gangs, the Victors and the 666ers, whose long-standing feud erupts into open violence. When the 666ers kill a member of the Victors, their leader Pistolero sets out for revenge against the rival gang's bosses, The Deuce and Billy Wings, with his companions The Gent and Comanche at his side. Their hunt across the American West also becomes a chance to settle a crime committed three decades earlier.
Larry Bishop directed from his own screenplay and produced the film, and he leads the cast as Pistolero. Michael Madsen plays The Gent and Eric Balfour plays Comanche, with David Carradine, Dennis Hopper, Vinnie Jones and Leonor Varela among the credited performers. The production, made by Dimension Films, followed Bishop's earlier work as a director and marked his return to filmmaking after a long gap.
The film drew weak responses. Its audience scores sit at 5 out of 10 on IMDb, based on around 17,000 votes, and 5.2 out of 10 on TMDB. A critics' rating of 3.7 out of 10 from 58 reviews is lower still, placing it below what viewers on IMDb and TMDB gave it. At 84 minutes, it is a short, violent genre piece.
