Will You Still Be My Friend

Set in a rural village in Taiwan, this drama follows a boy who attempts to keep his friendship with a peer from Singapore a secret. As tensions rise between the adults in their community, the two friends face the possibility of being separated. Amidst this external conflict, the boy begins to privately examine the actual nature of his emotions toward his friend.

The film was directed by Lu Po-shun, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Chen Chia-ping. This project is the fourth feature directed by Lu Po-shun, following Wild Tides in 2017, Ten Years Taiwan in 2019, and Nostopathy at Large in 2024. The production was a joint effort between Singapore and Taiwan, produced by InLight Film Studio and Verdant Peak Films. The movie has a total runtime of 101 minutes.
