Rock, Weed and Wheels

Set in 1971, this Mexican comedy focuses on two young entrepreneurs who attempt to organize a car race in Avandaro. To enhance the event, they invite several indie rock bands to perform. The situation becomes chaotic when the number of attendees far exceeds the 25,000 tickets sold, with more than 200,000 people arriving at the venue.

The film was directed by José Manuel Cravioto, who previously directed Bound to Vengeance in 2015 and A Deadly Invitation in 2023. The screenplay was written by Christian Cueva, Ricardo Farias, and Cravioto. The main cast features Alejandro Speitzer as Eduardo López Negrete and Emiliano Zurita as Justino Compeán, supported by Juan Pablo de Santiago, Enrique Arrizon, Ianis Guerrero, and Luis Curiel. A total of 47 actors are credited in the production.
