Short description

BURN·E is a science fiction comedy about a dedicated welding robot working aboard the Axiom spaceship. While attempting to complete a simple repair task involving a replacement lamp, the robot is hindered by several accidents and the chaotic activities of other robots. The situation worsens when WALL·E and EVE accidentally lock him outside the ship, forcing him to find a way to finish his job from the exterior.

Produced by Pixar, this animated short was directed by Angus MacLane. This project was the first of four films he directed, followed by Small Fry, Toy Story of Terror!, and Lightyear. The voice cast features Angus MacLane as the title character and Tessa Swigart as the Maintenance Computer. Ben Burtt, Jeff Garlin, and Elissa Knight also provided voices for roles including WALL·E, the Captain, and EVE.

The film has been well received by audiences, maintaining a consistent score across different platforms. It holds a rating of 7.5/10 on IMDb based on 14,000 votes and a matching 7.5/10 on TMDB from 831 votes.
