Bottle Rocket

Bottle Rocket follows three young men in Texas who decide to try their hands at crime. Anthony has recently left a psychiatric hospital, and his friend Dignan arrives to collect him with a plan for a new life. Where Anthony is quiet and uncertain, Dignan is enthusiastic and convinced that the two of them, with their friend Bob, can make names for themselves as criminals. Dignan has drawn up detailed schedules for what comes next and speaks constantly of a man named Mr. Henry, a former employer he wants Anthony to meet. The group's efforts begin small and quickly run into trouble.

The film was directed by Wes Anderson, who wrote the screenplay with Owen Wilson. It is the second of 26 films he has directed, following a 1993 short of the same name and preceding Rushmore. Owen Wilson plays Dignan and his brother Luke plays Anthony, with Robert Musgrave as Bob, Lumi Cavazos as Inez, James Caan as Mr. Henry and Andrew Wilson as Future Man. It was produced by Polly Platt and Cynthia Hargrave for Columbia Pictures with Gracie Films and Boyle-Taylor Productions.
