A Second Life

Set in Paris during the opening of the 2024 Olympic Games, this drama follows Elisabeth, a young woman with hearing impairment. While managing short-term rental properties in the busy city, she struggles with depression and the pressures of her job. Her routine and emotional state are disrupted when she meets Elijah, a carefree traveler from California. As they form an unexpected friendship amidst the urban chaos, Elisabeth is forced to confront her fears and open herself up to others.

The film was directed by Laurent Slama, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Thomas Keumurian and served as a producer alongside Maxime Montagne. The production was handled by 21juin Cinéma, RnB! Films, and Loulou Films in France. The lead roles are played by Agathe Rousselle as Elisabeth and Alex Lawther as Elijah, with a supporting cast that includes Jonas Bachan, Jewerl Ross, Elise Tilloloy, and François de Brauer.
