Calle Malaga

Calle Málaga is a drama about María Ángeles, a 79-year-old Spanish woman living in Tangier, Morocco. Her peaceful routine is disrupted when her daughter, Clara, arrives from Madrid with plans to sell the apartment where María Ángeles has spent her life. Refusing to move into a senior home, she uses her determination and wit to fight for her residence and recover her personal belongings. Through this struggle, she unexpectedly finds new companionship and rediscovers love and passion.

The film was directed by Maryam Touzani, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Nabil Ayouch. This production follows Touzani's 2023 film, The Blue Caftan.
