Maspalomas

Vicente is a 76-year-old man who spends his time pursuing pleasure and partying in Maspalomas. Following an unexpected accident, he is forced to leave his lifestyle behind and return to San Sebastián to be with the daughter he abandoned years prior. Now residing in a retirement home, Vicente chooses to hide his homosexuality once again, struggling with his identity in an environment that pushes him back into the closet. The story follows his attempts to reconcile with his past and himself.

This Spanish drama was co-directed by Aitor Arregi and Jose Mari Goenaga, who also wrote the screenplay. The film marks the fourth directorial effort for Arregi, following Giant, The Endless Trench, and Marco: The Invented Truth. For Goenaga, it follows Flowers and The Endless Trench. The movie stars José Ramón Soroiz in the lead role as Vicente, alongside Nagore Aranburu, Kandido Uranga, Zorion Eguileor, Kepa Errasti, and Julian Hackenberg.
