Snow Buddies

Snow Buddies is a family adventure about five golden retriever puppies who live in the United States and are accidentally shipped to Alaska. Stranded far from home in the snow, the pups meet Shasta, a young husky, and learn about a boy whose wish is to take part in a dogsled race. To help him, and to find a way back to their owners, the puppies have to form a team, train and face the challenges of the northern wilderness together.

The film is the fifth of fifteen features directed by Robert Vince, following Spymate and preceding Santa Buddies, and he wrote and produced it with Anna McRoberts. It continues the Air Bud series, with the puppies presented as the offspring of the sports-playing dog, and it was made for a modest 4 million dollars before earning about 51 million worldwide. The voice cast includes Skyler Gisondo, Josh Flitter, Liliana Mumy, Henry Hodges, Jimmy Bennett and Dylan Sprouse as Shasta, across a credited cast of 43 and crew of 40. On IMDb it holds 5.1 out of 10 from around 5,200 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.1 from roughly 300. Running 87 minutes, it was released in 2008 by Keystone Entertainment and Key Pix Productions.
