Skinwalkers

Skinwalkers is a 2006 action-fantasy horror film about two warring packs of werewolves and a boy caught between them. Timothy is approaching his thirteenth birthday, a milestone that will trigger his transformation. Raised by his mother, Rachel, alongside his grandmother, uncle, cousin and her boyfriend, he does not know that his late father's relatives are werewolves who have watched over him since birth. Because his mother is human and his father was not, Timothy is a half-blood, and an old prophecy holds that a half-blood reaching that age can end the curse that forces his father's people to transform. One pack wants to protect the boy and break the curse; another, led by Varek, Sonya and Zo, embraces what they are and wants him dead before the prophecy can be fulfilled. The film is set in motion as the two sides close in on Timothy and his mother.

The film was directed by James Isaac, its third feature after The Horror Show and Jason X. The screenplay is credited to James DeMonaco, James Roday Rodriguez and Todd Harthan, and the cast includes Jason Behr, Elias Koteas, Rhona Mitra, Natassia Malthe, Kim Coates and Sarah Carter. It runs 110 minutes and was produced by Lionsgate, Constantin Film, Stan Winston Studio and Don Carmody Productions, with Don Carmody and Dennis Berardi producing.

Critical response was poor: critics rated it 3.6 out of 10 across 38 reviews, while audiences also rated it low, averaging 4.5 out of 10 on IMDb from more than 13,000 votes and 5.1 out of 10 on TMDB from 319 votes.
