Short description

Koji Usami is a taxi driver who is hired to transport Sumire Takano, an 85-year-old woman, from Tokyo to a care home in Kanagawa. During the trip, Sumire requests several detours and begins to share details about her life and history. Their interactions lead to a mutual emotional connection that impacts both the driver and his passenger.

The drama was directed by Yoji Yamada, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Yuzo Asahara. This production follows Yamada's previous work, including Mom, Is That You?! from 2023. The film features a cast led by Chieko Baisho as Sumire Takano and Takuya Kimura as Koji Usami, with Yu Aoi appearing as the younger version of Sumire.
