In a world built on mad science, where every evil inventor relies on a hunchbacked assistant named Igor, one such assistant refuses to accept his assigned place. He dreams of becoming a scientist in his own right and of winning the annual Evil Science Fair, a goal that puts him at odds with the established order around him.

The animated film was directed by Tony Leondis, who wrote the screenplay with John Hoffman and Dimitri Toscas, and it followed his earlier work on Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch. John Cusack voices Igor, with John Cleese as Dr. Glickenstein, Steve Buscemi as Scamper, and Myleene Klass among the voice cast, which numbers 25 credited performers. Produced by Max Howard and John D. Eraklis, the film was made for about 25 million dollars and took roughly 31 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.9 from around 25,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.1 from a much smaller base of 633 votes. A critics' rating of 5.1 from 90 reviews places it below both audience scores.
