Guardian of the Field

Ahmad Piran is a respected resident of an Iranian village who plans to travel to the city for his son's sports competition. His plans change when he discovers a friend's daughter has disappeared, leading him to stay behind out of a sense of duty to his neighbors. Despite his apprentice Ayhan's urging to prioritize his son's hard work, Ahmad organizes the community to find the missing girl. After a plea for help is shared via video, many volunteers join the search across wide fields. When these efforts fail, a friend suggests the girl was taken by someone familiar with Ahmad and his physical impairment regarding his leg, prompting the group to search local homes.
