Set in a remote mountain village, the film follows twenty-year-old Ejva, who inherits her father's reindeer herd. While attempting to maintain the animals, she enters a reluctant relationship with a local leader named Heaika. The arrival of Heaika's cousin, Nejla, leads Ejva to discover a different kind of love. This shift triggers a violent reaction from Heaika, leaving Ejva with a physical tremor in her hands. This condition endangers her livelihood, forcing her to struggle for control over her future.
The drama was written and directed by Amanda Kernell, marking her second feature film following Sami Blood.
