Leah Caldwell is a television producer striving to become the first woman to lead a premier morning show in New York. Her professional ambitions are complicated when her former partner, Jarrett Roy, competes for the same leadership position. While Jarrett claims to have changed his outlook on life based on a popular book about relationship goals, Leah remains dedicated to her career and skeptical of romance. As her friends begin applying the book's lessons to their own lives, Leah must navigate her professional rivalry with Jarrett while dealing with lingering feelings for him.
