Short description
During the holiday season, four adult siblings and their father must deal with the decline of their mother's health. June, a sharp-witted woman facing her own end, takes control of her final days and manages the farewell process in her own way. - Joe Enders wrote the screenplay at the age of 19 while attending specialized screenwriting courses in the UK. His instructors suggested he write about something personal, and he decided to tell the story of his grandmother, who died of ovarian cancer in 2017 when he was 13. - Helen Mirren liked the script so much that she agreed to play June even though it violated her own rules (the actress had long since vowed not to play patients with cancer or dementia).
