Short description

The Jolly Monkey is a horror mystery thriller about the descendants of a motel's owners who return to the isolated property to decide its future. Their arrival coincides with the anniversary of a series of disappearances that occurred in the area forty years prior. The group is targeted and killed one by one by a murderer wearing the costume of the establishment's mascot, forcing the remaining survivors to try and escape.

The film was written and directed by Ryan Ebert, following his work on Predator: Wastelands. It is the second of five films he directed between 2025 and 2026. Produced by David Michael Latt through The Asylum and Wave of the Wand Productions, the movie features a cast including Dominic Keating, Jane Hajduk, Courtney Fulk, Neirin Winter, Lisa Cole, and Anthony Jensen.

Released on February 28, 2025, with a runtime of 93 minutes, the production has received poor ratings from viewers. It holds a score of 3.4/10 on IMDb based on 361 votes and a 4.7/10 on TMDB from 19 votes.
