Nagi Notes

Nagi Notes is a drama centered on the relationship between two women dealing with personal loss. Yoriko is an artist living in the rural town of Nagi who struggles to move past a previous romantic relationship. She is visited by Yuri, a separated architect from Tokyo and Yoriko's former sister-in-law. While staying in the countryside, the two women confront their shared grief and search for their own identities. Their time together involves artistic collaboration and a reconnection with a long-buried bond as Yuri experiences the slow pace of village life.

The film was written and directed by Koji Fukada, following his previous works Love Life and Love on Trial. The cast is led by Takako Matsu as Yoriko Endo and Shizuka Ishibashi as Yuri Sakashita, with Kenichi Matsuyama, Kawaguchi Waku, Kiyora Fujiwara, and Sawako Fujima in supporting roles. This production was a collaboration between companies from Japan, France, the Philippines, and Singapore, including STAR SANDS, Momo Film Co, Survivance, and Hassaku Lab. The movie has a runtime of 110 minutes.
