Eyewitness

Set on the island of Malta, this thriller follows a young boy named Ziggy who has a reputation for making up stories. Because of his history of dishonesty, others struggle to believe him when he claims to have witnessed the political assassination of an African leader. While the killers hunt him down to eliminate the only witness, the boy attempts to warn his sister and contact the police. Along with his grandfather and another resourceful witness, he must try to survive the attacks from the criminals.

Directed by John Hough, this was the first of eleven films listed in his directorial career. The movie features a cast including Mark Lester, Lionel Jeffries, Susan George, Tony Bonner, Jeremy Kemp, and Peter Vaughan, with a screenplay written by Ronald Harwood. It was produced by Paul Maslansky through Irving Allen Productions and Associated British Picture Corporation.
