The Lesson

A talented lawyer in Trieste takes on a case for a university professor she previously helped clear of sexual violence charges. The professor seeks to sue his employer for marginalizing him after his reinstatement. As the legal battle unfolds, the lawyer becomes convinced that her former partner, a man previously convicted of stalking her, has returned to harass her. She begins to experience a sense of constant threat and detects vague signs of his presence, leading to a blurring of the line between reality and paranoia.

The film was directed by Stefano Mordini, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Luca Infascelli. This production follows his previous work on The Invisible Witness, The Players, The Catholic School, and Race for Glory: Audi vs. Lancia. The cast features Matilda De Angelis as Elisabetta Sferzi, Stefano Accorsi as Angelo Walder, and Marlon Joubert as Daniele, with additional roles played by Eugenio Franceschini, Lidiya Liberman, and Marco Maccieri.
