China Sea

China Sea is a drama set in Lithuania focusing on Osvald, a champion fighter who is banned from his sport after injuring a woman during a street fight. While struggling in his hometown, he spends time at a decaying Taiwanese restaurant run by his friend Ju-Long. Through court-mandated therapy, Osvald meets Skaistė, who introduces him to a different way of living. The story follows his internal struggle as he attempts to find redemption while his history of violence threatens to pull him back toward self-destruction.

The film was directed by Jurgis Matulevičius and written by Saulė Bliuvaitė. The main cast features Marius Repšys in the lead role of Osvald, alongside Severija Janušauskaitė as Skaistė and Jag Huang Chien-Wei as Ju-Long. Other cast members include Vaidotas Martinaitis, Sonia Yuan, and Lu Yi-Ching. Produced by a collaboration of companies from Lithuania, Poland, Taiwan, and the Czech Republic, including Lava Films and Film Jam, the movie has a runtime of 96 minutes. It was released on February 6, 2026.
