Set during a sweltering summer in Berlin, this comedy follows several eccentric residents as they wait for the rain. The story intertwines the lives of a clan leader from Neukölln who turns toward climate activism, an inventor of gender dolls pursuing secret desires in Grunewald, and a balcony beekeeper dealing with a hyperactive colony. Central to these narratives is a fisherman attempting to create sustainable snacks using invasive swamp crabs.

The film was directed by Oliver Rihs, marking his second feature following Monkey King from 2016. The screenplay was a collaboration between Rihs, Cristina Tarpo, and Oliver Keidel.
