Leaving Mom

Hoan works as a sidewalk barber to support himself and his mother, Le Thi Hanh, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. While the illness creates a financial struggle and prevents Hoan from pursuing his own goals, his mother maintains memories of a past life in South Korea with her husband and eldest son. When Hoan begins to suffer from epilepsy and memory loss, he realizes he can no longer provide the necessary care for his mother. He decides to travel to Korea to reunite her with a brother he has never met.

This drama was co-produced by Vietnam and Korea through Anh Teu Studio, Motive Pictures, and SATE. The film was co-directed by Mo Hong-jin and Phan Gia Nhat Linh. For Mo Hong-jin, this is the third film following Missing You in 2016 and 2037 in 2022. It is the first film directed by Phan Gia Nhat Linh, who later directed Blood Moon Rite 8 in 2026. The movie features Tuấn Trần in the role of Hoan and Hồng Đào as Mẹ Hạnh. Released on July 30, 2025, the film has a runtime of 114 minutes.
