Wind Breaker

A young delinquent named Sakura enrolls at Furin High School with the intention of becoming the strongest fighter. Because of his distinctive half-white hair, he has spent his life facing social rejection and believing that depending on others is a sign of weakness. He discovers that the school is managed by the Bofurin, a respected street gang that protects the local shopping district and is appreciated by the community. After experiencing acceptance for the first time, Sakura begins to fight to protect other people rather than for his own status. This adventure film is a condensed adaptation of the initial four manga volumes and the first ten anime episodes.

The film was directed by Kentaro Hagiwara, following his previous work on Tokyo Ghoul and Blue Period. It precedes his 2026 project, HENSHIN THE FIRST. The screenplay was written by Yosuke Masaike, and the production involved Nikkatsu Corporation, Warner Bros. Japan, and WOWOW. The main cast features Koshi Mizukami as Haruka Sakura, Coki Yamashita as Tomiyama Choji, Motoki Nakazawa as Toma Hiragi, Ryosuke Sota as Kota Sako, Taisei Kido as Akihiko Nirei, and Keito Tsuna as Hayato Suo.
