The Con Artist

Fanny is a pregnant woman living with her partner, Virgil, in her father's house. Desperate for independence, she seeks to purchase a vintage apartment in Paris through a life annuity agreement. However, she soon discovers that the seller, Masséna, is not the frail, dying woman she appeared to be. Believing she has been targeted by a professional scammer, Fanny enters into a ruthless conflict with the woman to secure the property.

This French comedy was directed by Wilfried Méance, following his previous works Two Of A Kind and Maybe More. The screenplay was written by Stéphane Landowski, Michaël Souhaité, and Jean-Pascal Zadi. The film stars Fadily Camara as Fanny, Josiane Balasko as Madame Masséna, and Jean-Pascal Zadi as Virgil, with supporting roles played by Tiphaine Daviot, Denis Mpunga, and Pablo Pauly. It was produced by M6 Films, FullDawa Films, and Douze Doigts Productions.
