Set in Spain during the mid-to-late 1970s, this drama follows two women from different social classes who are held at the Patronato de Protección a la Mujer. This state-supported organization used boarding schools and convents to reform women, including single mothers, through strict moral discipline. Ana, a rebellious nineteen-year-old from a wealthy family in Barcelona, is sent by her father to a facility in Madrid run by the cruel Sister Socorro. Within this brutal environment, Ana forms a close bond with a girl named Sole. Their friendship is challenged by harsh reprisals, attempts to escape the institution, and an eventual sacrifice.
The upcoming film is directed by Daniel Monzón, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jorge Guerricaechevarría. This project follows Monzón's previous work on Cell 211, The Kid, Yucatán, and Outlaws. A joint production between Spain and France, it was produced by Noodles Production and Arcadia Motion Pictures. It is scheduled for release on November 6, 2026.
