Unearthed

In New Mexico, a series of animal deaths and disappearances leads Sheriff Annie Flynn to investigate a local area plagued by livestock losses and a road accident involving a tank truck. The situation escalates when an ancient alien creature is awakened during archaeological excavations. As the monster begins destroying everything in its path, the alcoholic sheriff must lead a group of survivors in an attempt to kill the creature and escape.

Directed and written by Matthew Leutwyler, this was the first of three films he directed, followed by The River Why and Uncanny. The movie stars Emmanuelle Vaugier as Sheriff Annie Flynn, alongside Luke Goss, Charlie Murphy, Beau Garrett, M. Gainey, and Whitney Able. It was produced by Ambush Entertainment, Cold Iron Pictures, and Combustion Studios.

Audience reception for the film was generally low, with a rating of 4/10 on IMDb based on 4,100 votes and a 4.2/10 on TMDB from 81 votes. Film critics gave the movie a lower score of 2.9/10 from 275 reviews.
