Thunderbirds 60th Anniversary Double Bill - Trapped in the Sky / Terror in New York City

This cinematic double bill commemorates sixty years of Thunderbirds by presenting two adventures on the big screen. The first story involves a criminal called the Hood who plants a bomb on a supersonic aircraft to force the private rescue organization International Rescue to reveal itself. The second story follows the team as they attempt to save a news crew trapped under the ruins of the Empire State Building in New York City, despite having lost their primary means of transporting heavy equipment due to a mistaken attack.

The film was produced in the United Kingdom by Century 21 Television and Anderson Entertainment. It was directed by David Lane, who also directed The Legend of Captain Scarlet in 2026. The screenplay was written by Gerry Anderson, Sylvia Anderson, and Alan Fennell, with Gerry Anderson serving as producer. The voice cast features Peter Dyneley, Shane Rimmer, David Holliday, Matt Zimmerman, David Graham, and Ray Barrett. The production blends elements of action, adventure, science fiction, fantasy, and family genres into a 100-minute experience. The presentation features 4K restoration and a new Dolby 5.1 surround sound mix.
