La camera di consiglio

Set in 1987, this drama focuses on the concluding phase of the Maxi Trial in Palermo, the most extensive criminal proceeding in Italian history. The story follows eight jurors, consisting of four men and four women, who remain confined in a deliberation room for thirty-six days. During this time, they must decide whether to convict or acquit 470 individuals accused of crimes linked to the mafia.

The film was directed by Fiorella Infascelli, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Mimmo Rafele and served as a producer alongside Davide Tovi and Giuseppe Manzi. The ensemble cast features Sergio Rubini in the role of the President, Massimo Popolizio as the Judge a Latere, and Roberta Riganò, Claudio Bigagli, Stefania Blandeburgo, and Anna Della Rosa.
