The Legend of Juan Jose Mundo

Set in suburban New York during 1984, this romantic comedy follows Julie Gornick as she hosts an eccentric exchange student from Spain. While the charismatic visitor begins dating several girls in Julie's class, she finds herself developing feelings for him, though she eventually questions the nature of her attraction.

The film was directed by Michael Walker, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Susan Gomes. This project follows Walker's previous directorial efforts, Chasing Sleep from 2001 and Paint from 2020. Produced by Pango Films and overseen by producers Alfred Sapse and Michael Goodin, the movie features a credited cast of 44 performers. The lead roles are played by Alexandro Byrd as Juan Jose Mundo and Anna Mirodin as Julie Gornick, with supporting appearances by Hannah Kepple, Chase Vacnin, Ben Heineman, and Lena Pepe.
