Lily & Lily

Set in the 1930s, this comedy centers on Lily DaCosta, a difficult and scandalous Hollywood movie star. Her life changes when she is joined by her twin sister, Deborah, a reserved and modest farmer. Because the two women look identical, they decide to trade places. This switch creates a series of complications and misunderstandings for those around them, including a dishonest journalist, greedy employees, a husband seeking money, and a former spouse who has escaped from Alcatraz. The story is based on a 1985 boulevard theater play by Jacqueline Maillan.

The film was directed by Dominique Thiel, following his previous work on Le Bracelet earlier in 2025. It was produced by Philippe Thuillier through ADLTV, Fimalac Entertainment, Arts Live Entertainment, and Théâtre de Paris. The production is a French film featuring Michèle Bernier in the dual roles of Lily and Deborah DaCosta. The supporting cast includes Francis Perrin as the impresario Sam, Véronique Boulanger as the critic Charlène, Éric Boucher as Jonathan, Cyril Garnier as Julio, and Riton Liebman as Doug.
