The Applicant

The Applicant is a short animated film from Spain about a civil servant who spends his days in a small, drab office. His work consists of turning down the requests people bring to his window, and his life is shaped by the fear that one day someone will arrive with every form in order, forcing him to use the green stamp of approval he dreads.

The film is directed by Sam Orti, who also produced it, from a screenplay by Flora Cuevas. It runs fifteen minutes and was made by Conflictivos Productions. Released on February 28, 2026, it is one of the director's recent works and, in its focus on a single figure trapped in a repetitive bureaucratic routine, sits within the territory of animation for adult audiences.
