Like a Limbless Tree

A retired engineer named Refik provides money to his Syrian caregiver so she and her two sons can leave Europe. However, the woman disappears, leaving the children behind with him. As a religious holiday approaches, Refik struggles with his own health and the strained relationships with his own children while attempting to locate the woman in the city of Izmir.

This Turkish drama was directed by Tunç Davut, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Sinem Altındağ. The film was produced by Tekhne Film and features a cast including Ali İpin as Refik Olgun, Feyyaz Duman as İhsan Olgun, and Selen Kurtaran as Nalan Olgun. Dilan Düzgüner plays the caregiver, while Ahmed El Ali and Nasreddin Meshed portray her sons. Released on June 12, 2026, the movie has a runtime of 93 minutes.
