Becoming Vera

Set in Miami, this drama follows Vera, an eighteen-year-old pianist and foster child transitioning to independent living. While struggling with poverty, she finds work painting a music studio, where she catches the attention of the owner and producer, Hector. Although he offers her a chance to compose, Hector eventually betrays her by stealing her work for his own profit. Despite this exploitation and her own uncertainty, Vera relies on her determination and the help of friends to overcome these obstacles and pursue a career in Latin Jazz.

The film was written and directed by Sergio Vizuete, who also served as a producer alongside Yuchuan Cao and Jiarui Guo. The lead role of Vera was played by Raquel Lebish, with Gabriel Diehl appearing as Hector. The supporting cast includes Nicolas Pozo, Mikaela Monet, Brandon Williams, and Phillip Andre Botello. Produced by Cascabel Films and Incandescent Films, the movie has a runtime of 87 minutes.
