Dream High is a music film and rock opera about a teenage boy named Yoav who moves to a new city and enrolls at Magshimim High. In this school, social status is decided by rhyming ability and rap battles. After a humiliating defeat by the most popular student, Yoav seeks to improve his skills to gain respect and attract the attention of a girl named Maya. He finds a mentor in Hamorabi, a former rap star working as a school cashier. While Yoav rises to fame through the battle circuit, his success causes him to drift away from his true friends and the authenticity he was taught.
Directed by Amit Ulman, who also wrote the screenplay with Omer Mor and Omer Havron, the film is an adaptation of Ulman's own stage musical. The script is written entirely in Hebrew rhymes. The production was supported by several entities, including The Hive Studio and the Ministry of Culture and Sport. The main cast features Amir Banai as Yoav and Yael Shelbia as Maya Eden, alongside Noam Kleinstein, Yonatan Horenczyk, Naya Federman, and Daniel Shalmeav. A total of 37 actors are credited in the production. This Israeli film was released on July 23, 2026.
