Nangong Cheng

Nangong Cheng follows a steelworker suffering from a severe infection who meets a stranger burdened by a similar medical condition. This stranger is driven by a desire for revenge following the murder of his wife. As a student of a traditional sect that combines martial arts with healing, Nangong Cheng attempts to use his dwindling strength to assist the man.

The film was written, produced, and directed by Shao Pan, who also stars in the title role. Other cast members include Li Yue, Yu Bolai, Li Changyuan, Sun Lei, and Wang Dingyu. This production from Taiji Xia Pictures is a Chinese action drama with a runtime of 197 minutes. It explores the concept of Dianxue, a rare Chinese martial art. Shao Pan previously directed a documentary titled Bicicletas y pianos eléctricos antiguos, which focused on two impoverished musicians.
