Don't Forget the Oatmeal

A man known as the Barbarian lives a bleak existence in a second-hand store, burdened by family trauma and the belief that he has very few erections remaining before he dies. Seeking companionship before his end, he pursues Marie, a special education teacher struggling with alcoholism.

Written and directed by Olivier Godin, this comedy follows his earlier work, Le Pays des âmes (a jazz fable), released in 2011. The film stars Jean-Marc Dalpé as the Barbarian and Kayo Yasuhara as Marie. The supporting cast includes Emery Habwineza, Suzanne Beth, Sandy El-Bitar, and Eric Jacobus. Godin also served as a producer alongside Amélie Tremblay. The movie has a runtime of 75 minutes and was released on January 13, 2026.
