Ben 10: Race Against Time is a live-action television film based on the animated series Ben 10. Ten-year-old Ben Tennyson has spent the summer using the Omnitrix, a device that lets him transform into various alien beings, but with the school year starting he returns to his hometown of Bellwood and tries to settle back into ordinary life with his cousin Gwen and their grandfather Max. His plans are disrupted by Eon, an ancient extraterrestrial who escapes captivity and wants both Ben and the Omnitrix for a scheme involving an ancient device and a gateway that would allow his people to invade Earth.
The film is directed by Alex Winter and written by Mitch Watson. It is the second feature Winter directed, following Freaked in 1993; he went on to direct Ben 10: Alien Swarm the next year. Graham Phillips plays Ben, with Christien Anholt as Eon, Haley Ramm as Gwen and Beth Littleford, Don McManus and Sab Shimono among the supporting cast. The production had a budget of 18 million dollars.
On IMDb the film holds a rating of 4.2 from roughly 6,300 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.9 from about 375 votes. The gap reflects a much larger and harsher sampling on IMDb compared with the smaller, more favourable group of voters on TMDB, and places the film among the more modestly received adaptations of the series.
