Tokyo Gore Police

Set in a near-future Tokyo where the police force has been privatized, Tokyo Gore Police follows Ruka, a young officer assigned to a special squad hunting mutants known as Engineers. These beings can turn any wound they receive into a lethal weapon, making them difficult to kill and dangerous to the public. Ruka also pursues a personal agenda: the person responsible for her father's death is connected to the same conflict, and she wants revenge. The privatized police operate with few restraints, and civilians sometimes pay the price for their methods.

The film is directed by Yoshihiro Nishimura, his first feature in the directing credits listed here, followed later by Mutant Girls Squad, The ABCs of Death, Tokyo Dragon Chef and Geisha War. Eihi Shiina plays Ruka, with Itsuji Itao as Key Man and Yukihide Benny as the Tokyo Police Chief Officer among the main cast. Kengo Kaji, Nishimura and Maki Mizui wrote the screenplay, and Nikkatsu Corporation and Fever Dreams produced the film, which runs 110 minutes.
