Mar intends to leave Malta for good, seeing the death of her estranged mother as an opportunity to sell inherited farmland and fund her departure. Her plans are complicated when family members challenge her legal claim to the property. While struggling to secure her inheritance, she meets Nenu, a musician who performs traditional għana folk songs. Through their connection and improvisational musical duels, Mar begins to process buried emotions and reconsider her desire to abandon her homeland.
