James Acaster: Cinemagoers Welcome

James Acaster examines his complicated feelings toward the art of stand-up comedy in this production. The film follows a comedic experiment conducted across three distinct locations: Truro, Dublin, and Northampton. Throughout the performances, the comedian interacts with three different audiences and manages various hecklers.

Stuart Laws directed the film, which follows his 2024 work James Acaster: Hecklers Welcome. Laws has also directed projects for Christopher Macarthur-Boyd, Jessica Fostekew, Ivo Graham, Kerry Godliman, and Nish Kumar, as well as his own project, Three-Way. The film stars James Acaster, a British comedian known for the Repertoire series on Netflix and for appearing in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. He is also a best-selling author and co-host of the Off Menu podcast. This comedy has a runtime of 120 minutes.
