As We Burn

As We Burn is a Swedish documentary that follows a group of teenagers as they engage in political activism. Starting with protests outside parliament, the film examines a generation compelled to address climate change and social justice while still navigating their own youth. It explores the tension between the typical experiences of adolescence, such as friendship and dreaming of the future, and the heavy moral burden placed on young people due to the perceived failures of adults.

Helena Molin directed and wrote the film. The documentary features appearances by Greta Thunberg, Isabelle Axelsson, Anton Örtell, Ell Jarl, Sophia Axelsson, and Simon Lagerlöf, all appearing as themselves. The project was produced by SVT, Filmpool Nord, and MDEMC Production AB. Released on May 15, 2026, the film has a runtime of 90 minutes.
